What is 3D printing, in simple terms?

It's a way of building a physical object by adding material layer by layer from a digital 3D file, rather than cutting or molding it. Every piece starts as a design on a screen and is printed layer by layer until it's finished. Want the full picture? See our What is 3D Printing? guide.

How strong are 3D printed parts?

It depends on how the piece is printed, but PLA — the material we currently print with — holds up well to everyday handling and moderate stress. It's a great fit for decorative pieces, organizers, and most everyday items, though we'll always flag it if a design isn't a great match for the material.

Can any design be 3D printed?

Almost any shape can be printed, but very thin walls, tight overhangs, or enclosed hollow cavities can be tricky depending on the technology. If you have a specific design in mind, send it over and we'll let you know if it needs any adjustments before printing.

How accurate is 3D printing?

Modern 3D printers are precise to within fractions of a millimeter. Fine details, text, and small features generally come out crisp, especially with resin printing — though very tiny or paper-thin features may need slight adjustments to print cleanly.

Materials & Finish
What materials do you print with?

Right now, every piece we offer is printed in PLA — a reliable, everyday plastic that's well suited to most decorative and functional items. We're a small operation and may introduce additional materials like PETG or resin as we grow.

Will my print have visible layer lines?

Some texture from the printing process is normal with PLA and FDM printing in general. We choose print orientation and settings carefully to keep visible surfaces as clean as possible.

Can 3D printed items get wet or go outdoors?

PLA — the material we currently print with — is best suited to indoor use, since it can soften or warp with prolonged heat and UV exposure. We'd recommend keeping pieces out of direct sun and away from hot surfaces like a car dashboard.

Do you offer color options?

Yes — PLA comes in a wide range of colors, and most pieces are available in several options. Check the product page or reach out for what's currently in stock.

Ordering & Turnaround
How long does an order take to print?

Turnaround depends on the size and complexity of the piece — small items may be ready within a day or two, while larger or more detailed pieces can take longer. We'll confirm an estimated timeline when you place your order.

Can I request a custom design?

Definitely. Send us your idea, reference images, or your own 3D file, and we'll let you know what's possible along with pricing and timing.

Do you accept STL files from customers?

Yes. If you already have a 3D model ready to go, share the file with us and we'll review it for printability before starting.

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Reach out and let us know what's off. Because every piece is printed to order, we'll work with you on adjustments, a reprint, or another resolution depending on the situation.

Care & Use
How do I clean a 3D printed item?

A soft, slightly damp cloth is usually enough for most pieces. Avoid harsh solvents or very hot water, which can warp or discolor some plastics and resins.

Is 3D printed material food-safe?

Most standard 3D printed plastics and resins aren't recommended for direct, repeated contact with food or drink, since layer lines can trap bacteria and some materials aren't rated food-safe. If a piece is intended for food use, ask us about the specific material and finish first.

How should I care for it long term?

Keep pieces out of direct, prolonged sunlight and away from high heat (like a hot car dashboard) to prevent warping or fading. Beyond that, most 3D printed items hold up well with normal, everyday care.
